		<title>The Son’s Promise</title>

		<summary type="text">"God's Private Thoughts"

Imagine as God,
You know beforehand
The errors
 Made by mankind;
You can see
The end of their days
You do not need to take any surveys,
So to you, anything man does is no mystery.
Your people,
Swaying in their ways,
Lacking in faith,
And in such a hurry
Chasing money
To make claims on
Materialistic possessions,
So as to substitute
The Lord’s intentions:
You knew that to worship anything but the Lord
Was a sin.

Accordingly,
You see your people
In so much despair,
Lacking in direction
No longer having inspiration,
Yet knowing that
Even as God;
You could not
Step in.

This was fitting
Because a promise had been made
By your begotten son.
He promised them freedom
Regardless of their wrong.

Imagine as God,
Seeing your people’s null and void
Along with their insecurities;
Wishing that if you could
Just one time step in;
Knowing that they would
Enjoy life and see all its rewards,
And they would
Be at ease knowing there was a hereafter
With so much more to offer,
That their visit on Earth could never compare.
Nonetheless, even upon seeing
That all their empty
You could fulfill,
You could not step in
And intervene.
Knowing that although
You could make them complete
Like they were before,
When they were first born,
You did not forget though
That the promises made
By your son was now
Your biggest obstacle
As it forced restraint
In affording you the option
Of stepping in
Even if it meant to
You could save
Your own children.

Imagine as God,
The frustration you would feel,
The loss of control that you would experience;
By knowing that,
You could not interrupt
Mankind’s affairs.
This could not even compare
To being a parent,
Because unlike a parent,
This Father
Could not step in,
Even to end the dismay
And despair,
His children were at bay with.
Regardless of the
Conditions
Your children were in,
You could not dishonor
Your son’s agreement
By stepping in.

We can only guess
How much they will all be missed
And how much
The family and loved ones wishes
That they could just
Be there on that day,
One more time,
To fee their touch;
To look into their eyes
And tell them good-bye
And how much they matter;
To be able to say
That before they died,
They did indeed
Give someone else
One last breath
So they could live.

		<summary type="text">Mother Nature and Her crafts,
Hear the plants scream
Look at the grass.
Hear the trees cry
As mankind scoffs and laughs
As if,
He had nothing to do with this.
Bitter—surrender,
Feel a tree’s death
By looking at its lines
Where it starts and where it ends.
Watch the leaves fall
Not just in spring or autumn,
But more often
Like all four seasons.
A bittersweet kiss and say goodbye
As
A weed’s tears
After endless years
Wonders why
If others are still around
For Mother Nature,
Then why am I
No longer to be found?
A new twist:
Mother Nature is not forgiving.
Indeed, no more rest areas
Will we need.
Not fond memories
Will this twist bring.
The grass’s fierce heat,
The forest parks dream
Now turns into a towering inferno!
Without a warning,
And unfortunate,
That mankind’s reckless,
Lack of care Behavior,
Still persists he can outrun Mother Nature.
Sit or stand
And observe this fool’s plan
For he will, before long
Bring bedlam and ruin
As he brings down
His own town.
Soon you will observe
Mankind’s path
Causes worse damage than
Just forest fires
In actual fact,
From mankind’s blunder
There will be worse times
Before we all go under.

		<summary type="text">Do you believe in Destiny
Because if you do
I’ll tell you something,
But secrecy
Has to be a guarantee
From you to me.

People from everywhere
Once I start talking
Think I am crazy
And once I get done
With my story
They offer me water
And some of their meds.
I suppose they think
I’ve got a screw loose inside my head
Or perhaps short a few marbles;
That, I admit is probable.
But see,
I’ve tested my theory
From the mountains
To the sea
I have interviewed thousands
In all walks of life
I have taken polls
I even did a survey on my wife;
This, she took rather personally.
But let us not get off track.

Have you heard of karma?
Do you think it exits?
People I have talked to
Insists that it persists,
Yet how could karma take place
If destiny is at stake?
If some event is meant to happen
To certain people,
Then the man upstairs
Made a mistake.

Is it possible to achieve greatness
Whoever you are?
And what of the less fortunate,
The ill and the scarred?
Does richness or poorness
Trump others cards?
Accordingly what are the odds
For the dark skin toned individuals?
Are they to make it
Or be all alone?

Do you think success is measured
By what we accomplish on this planet
Or by what we endure?
What if we get what we want
By taking advantage?
Do we take this into account
As mounting evidence
When our life spans
Comes to end;
Further, will this be a factor
Between heaven and hell?
Perhaps success is over rated
Here on earth
And instead our Lord intended
Us to look at the big picture,
Because what we give we get
In the end
We get what we deserve.

		<summary type="text">Witnessing a loved one’s time being robbed
 And stripped from their prime
Is a curse I have endured for too long
And a weight I have carried one too many times.
 Since thus far,
I am of the youngest siblings still alive,
And this occurrence
Has continued to slip by
Without anyone’s notice
One too many times;
But then again
One is too many. Even recollections
Of such events
Stay up with me sunrise to sunset;
While the little sleeps that I do get,
Dreams of loss and death:
Two separate dealings
Consume me,
Thus never am I allowed to forget
Of this nightly dread.
Perchance, once I am rid
Of all my regrets
I will be permitted again
To join the land
Of the living and
Leave the thoughts of the dead. Until then I push away all,
That chooses to pass my path
Because I feel that
Anyone that is around me,
Close enough to touch me
They too will not be around.Only those that share this experience
Can I speak to,
And only those
Who can relate to
Such frequencies
Will appreciate and concur
With the feelings that transpire
Through the living
When they are left to pick up the pieces,
Or when a loved one leaves us.How one leaves us is not important.
The remorse will take on a life of its own.
And the grief stages; well, there is no norm.
Nor is there an owner’s manual
For matters such as this;
This is not an illness awaiting a cure.
So for the people who wish to exonerate
Themselves from these toxic thoughts
It is difficult if they do not how…
How to handle the grief, how to stay on top
When the news of a loved one’s passing
Has just reached;
How to handle one’s feelings
 When the event of losing a loved one
Another way
Has just been experienced.In any and all cases where
The torn of a loved one has departed
Or gone in some other way,
The question of today becomes
 How they will be able to mourn
And will prayer do any good?Some of us are weak,
Some are tired,
Some of us are strong,
While others are wired
Probably because
They have others to look after;
Yet all reactions belong.
I, myself, after seeing
Too many deaths, and
Having too many people
Lean on me,
Have grown tired and weary
Of these
Responsibilities, that no longer
Can I take on.

		<summary type="text">Calm, your life will remain
As you spread your secret of success
To your friends and to your enemies
About my domain.

Once truth is revealed&amp;#8722;
How your journey started
And how it ended
Then others alike can commence
Towards their new begin.
Hence this is my intention.
Make sure they pay attention
As you tell them
About your adventures
From sins of flesh
To being saved;
Leave it up to them
On what is meant.
They too shall find
What they have to face.
All of my children
Have struggles;
The journey for some is long.
Alas, it is the difference
Between right and wrong.

Tell them what you went through
While on that rollercoaster ride;
Explain to them your before and after
So they understand the stakes.
The journey for all will be alike.
It is like climbing a mountain,
Steep and ongoing
With crashes and burns;
There are pitfalls and hurtles
One could fall into
Yet, peaks that one could reach.
Anything or nothing
Is within reach.
However once the ride starts
In the right direction
They won’t want off
Because by comparison
Their daily troubles
And commotion
That they have experienced so far
Makes this journey and climb
Feel like a vacation.
